Studs

Studs

One of the types of open profiles is a stud that has a horizontal surface called a john and two vertical surfaces called wings and has a shape similar to a U. In terms of material, studs are produced in galvanized, aluminum, and stainless steel.

In the production process, studs are made in two ways:

  • Rolled studs (fabric) – in this way, the raw ingots pass through rollers called rolling after being heated. The size of the rolling rods in this method depends on the rolls used.
  • Press studs – 6 meters long sheets are produced by pressing. This type of stud is used in various industries.

In general, studs are used in the automotive and construction industry. Also, their main use is in industries in the form of frames and foundations, such as building facades and frames.

In steel industries such as steel bridges, trusses, and architectural buildings, studs are also very widely used.

Features of studs

Among the features of studs are the following:

  • High resistance to steel stresses
  • Small size and low space occupancy
  • High speed in installation
  • High Impact Tolerance
  • Long-term performance
  • Low weight of steel structure
