Pelletizing is one of the methods of converting particles and soft raw materials (concentrates) into a dense mass. Pelletizing is the final product of the pelletizing process and the raw material for the processes of producing raw iron in a blast furnace and producing sponge iron in various direct reduction methods. Traditional iron production is used in blast furnaces (with the help of blast furnace pellets) or multiple direct reduction methods (with the help of direct reduction pellets).

Pellet Making Methods

In general, pellets are made in two main ways:

• Conical (Rotary Cylinder)
• Disk

The

main material in the manufacture of iron ore pellets is in the form that the particle size of the consumed concentrate should be less than 45 microns. Additives and sticky materials such as condenser, lime milk, organic matter, lime, cement and water are used in its manufacture.
