Billet

Billet, also known as flute, is one of the types of steel ingots that has a long length and a square or circular cross-sectional area. The width of the billet is 15 cm and its cross-sectional area is 230 cm, and it is usually used to produce sections such as rebar and various types of wire.

The method of producing billets is through direct casting, extrusion or through rolling ingots. Billets are produced in different categories such as 3sp and 5sp.

5SP billet is usually used for the production of rebar and 3SP grade is used for the manufacture of beams and corners.
